The latest League of Legends Worlds patch notes have landed, and they’re poised to shake things up before the biggest tournament of the year. Get ready, because Draven, Jinx, and Caitlyn are all getting some serious power boosts, with several items also receiving upgrades. Meanwhile, Redemption is getting nerfed, making way for other items to shine.

Bot Lane Blitz:
In patch 25.19, several bot lane champions have been amped up for the tournament. Draven and Jinx, in particular, can become terrifying forces in skilled hands. Draven’s Blood Rush now offers more attack speed, and his ultimate has been tuned for increased damage output. Jinx, who has been less frequent in pro matches, is also getting some love from Riot. Her Q ability boasts a longer range in the early game, and her E now deals more damage. Even Caitlyn, a known threat in lower ELO games, receives a small buff with her base AD increasing from 60 to 62, hopefully making her a contender at Worlds.

Mid Lane Mayhem:
It’s not just the bot lane getting attention! Ahri has received a significant buff, alongside Brand, Corki, and Diana. Riot acknowledged Ahri’s weakness compared to other mid-laners, thus improving her ultimate, Spirit Rush, to make those aggressive plays more worthwhile. Brand, a versatile champion, is buffed due to being “a little weak, especially in heavy income roles.” His passive, W, and ultimate have seen substantial increases in AP scaling – +70% AP for his W and +30% AP for his ultimate. Diana, a mid-lane powerhouse with jungling potential, gets an improved monster modifier on her passive for easier jungle clears, up from 2.6x to 3x. LeBlanc, despite her mid-lane potential, is buffed to improve wave control and burst damage. Riot is trying to make her stronger in her more advantageous side lane roles with an +80% AP buff to her W and R. Riot also wants to see more AP junglers at Worlds, so Lillia gets a boost with a +45% AP increase to her ultimate and a reduced cooldown (140/120/100).

Item Adjustments:
Recent patches have focused on balancing items. Redemption, a popular tank support item, now heals for 150-350 (down from 200-400 based on target level). This nerf gives items like Locket of the Iron Solari and Knight’s Vow a better chance to be picked.

It remains to be seen how these changes will truly impact the meta at Worlds, but they certainly open the door for some exciting shifts at the highest level of League of Legends!
